Project or study in detail

The Future Work Lab in Stuttgart makes digital work organisation tangible through demonstrators. Its intelligent workforce planning example addressed a familiar challenge: staffing shifts when demand changes and people have different skills and availability. Visitors could explore a specific planning approach rather than relying only on a general description of AI.

Hawk’s contribution

From 2020 to 2025, a browser-based Hawk demonstrator in the Future Work Lab showed AI-supported shift planning: it proposed staffing assignments and involved employees via an app.

The original sources document the research project or publication at the time. This context connects the historical contribution with the questions facing today’s planning teams.
