Starting point
Whether at a production facility, in aircraft handling, on a forklift or on a hospital ward: many tasks require a specific qualification, often with a certificate that has to be renewed regularly. If this information is missing from planning, gaps arise that only become apparent during operations.
Separate lists for qualifications and shifts quickly become outdated. Planners then have to look things up, ask around and hope that all the information is correct.
How Hawk IVO helps
- Qualification matrix: For each workplace, Hawk IVO Plan shows which qualifications are required and at what level employees have mastered them.
- Qualification-based matching: When filling a shift or an order, planning takes into account who is allowed to perform the task.
- Digital personnel file: Qualifications and certificates are stored with the employees’ master data.
- At the workplace: Hawk IVO Plan makes visible who is scheduled for what. At the terminal of our partner Datafox, employees see before a work step whether the required qualification is on record.
Documented scope
MANN+HUMMEL, the filtration specialist from Ludwigsburg, has managed qualifications at its plants with Hawk IVO Plan since 2023. Qualification management is in use at plants worldwide; the connection to the MES is currently being introduced. At OXEA’s Werk Ruhrchemie site, too, planning matches the requirements of the facilities with valid qualifications and certificates.
Prerequisites
You need an overview of the activities or workplaces with the required qualifications, and your employees’ current qualification status. Our knowledge article on the qualification matrix describes how to build such a matrix.
