In brief
Agent Workforce refers to the AI agents that take on tasks in a company through to the result. It works with the Human Workforce in hybrid teams: agents act within the configured access rights and approvals, and people make the decisions where their responsibility is required.
Agent Workforce refers to the AI agents that take on tasks in a company. It works alongside the Human Workforce, meaning the people in the company. Agents use company knowledge, prepare results and decisions, and carry out approved steps in connected systems. Responsibility stays with people: agents work only within the configured access rights and approvals.
Human Workforce and Agent Workforce
The term comes from workforce management, where the aim is to plan the Human Workforce in a traceable way: qualifications, shifts and rules, for example for shift lead, dispatch or service. Hawk IVO comes from this field and applies this knowledge to agents.
An Agent Workforce is also planned and managed. Skills, company knowledge and controlled actions take the place of qualifications and shifts. Typical roles are an analysis agent, a planning agent or a service agent.
When both work together, hybrid teams emerge. Tasks are distributed between humans and agents, reviewed and managed together. Human teams, agent teams and mixed teams work on ongoing operations as well as on change initiatives.
What agents take on
Information alone doesn’t complete a task. An Agent Workforce is meant to carry work through to the result. To do this, agents work in three steps:
- Use knowledge: They draw on relevant information in the right company and project context.
- Prepare results: They bring information together and use it to create drafts and working materials.
- Carry out work steps: They handle suitable steps in connected systems, within the configured permissions.
Preparing decisions is an important part of this. In planning, for example, an agent can summarize conflicts and prepare options. The decision lies with the people responsible.
How people stay in control
Agents act only within the limits of what you approve. They use only configured connections and permissions. Actions in connected systems are carried out in a controlled manner. Reusable work instructions are stored as skills, and company knowledge comes from approved sources.
A simplified example from planning shows how the work is divided:
- Orders, absences and capacities come together from your systems.
- Hawk IVO Plan proposes a staffing plan based on rules and qualifications.
- An agent summarizes conflicts and prepares options.
- The people responsible give their approval. Only then are the changes implemented in the connected systems.
Which steps an agent may carry out directly in a system depends on the configured connections and approvals. People make the decisions where their responsibility is required.
Hawk IVO Force and Hawk IVO Plan
With Hawk IVO Force, companies deploy an Agent Workforce. Hawk IVO Force connects company knowledge, skills and tools with specific tasks. Your teams stay responsible, and the agents do the work. Hawk IVO Force can be used on its own.
Hawk IVO Plan provides the planning logic and makes collaboration visible. Its work interfaces bring together employees, teams and agent-supported workflows. Planning, deviations and decisions appear in role-based views. The people responsible choose an option and approve it.
We bring not only software but also the know-how to build and scale agent systems, and we help with the setup. Costs, capacity and scaling are assessed for each use case. Software vendors can also embed Hawk IVO Force in their own product.
How to get started
We recommend starting with a clearly defined task. Together, we clarify which information and systems are needed for it and how you will measure the benefit. Get in touch if you have such a task in mind.
